The Shipping and Receiving Clerk at K-Tube Technologies responsibilities: Shipping function includes weighing, packaging, and completion of shipment documentation to ensure product is delivered to customers and vendors in a quality manner. Receiving function includes counting, checking, verifying, and recording received materials to vendor packing list. Material control function includes transfer of materials to appropriate department and storage of finished goods product from production, in addition to maintenance of material and supply storage.
This position is a temp-to-hire position, must work a minimum of 520 hours (3 months) and complete training/certificationd to convert to a FT position.
Starting pay rate is $21.50/hour
LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY
• Ship customer and vendor product per pick-list, appropriate procedures, instructions, and special customer requirements
• Weigh, address, and label crates, boxes, tubes, or other packages
• Determine postage or freight amounts and completion of bill of lading or other shipping documentation
• Select appropriate route and/or freight carrier when customer has not specified
• Verify completeness against shipping documents
• Count, examine, weigh, check, and verify accuracy of received goods and materials to vendor packing lists, and log into K-Tube system and hard copy log book
• Report shortages and damaged incoming goods to appropriate personnel
• Label incoming raw materials and move to storage
• Transfer strip to weld department per approved production schedule
• Transfer finished goods footage to E-Cut, Score/Break, and CG departments
• Move finished goods footage and cuts to appropriate warehouse storage location
• Perform cycle counting per approved schedule
• Perform physical inventories for raw materials, finished footage, finished cuts, and asweld coils
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse and work areas
• Charge fork lifts as needed
• Empty and replace material in the recycle bailer and bins
• Order supplies for shipping and packaging as needed
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 3 years of previous experience in shipping and receiving
• Must be forklift certified
• Possess good math and computer skills
• Knowledge of online shipping (UPS, Fed X and DHL) needed
• Good communication skills, both written and spoken
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Must be able to move about the warehouse easily and quickly, including frequent bending, arm flexing, and climbing of a ladder.
Work Environment:
• Work performed in both a manufacturing and office environment
• Exposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes and other hazardous materials
• At times may be exposed to high noise levels
• Required to wear K-Tube t-shirt
Personal Protective Equipment:
• Z87.1 compliant Safety glasses and ASTM F2413.18 compliaint safety shoes are required
• Other personal safety equipment required as listed in SDS depending on task; may include safety goggles, hearing protection, full-face shield, apron, arm guards, rubber boots and gloves
