A Research Engineer I conducts research and development to solve engineering problems, conceive new medical products, and complete projects for a range of clinical needs. A Research Engineer I works under supervision to complete engineering projects.
• Utilize engineering knowledge and technical expertise to create new device solutions
• Assist in the development of experiments, execution, analysis of results, and interpretation and reporting of results
• Complete projects consistent with corporate and departmental objectives by engaging the efforts of other engineering, regulatory, and marketing staff
• Contribute to the intellectual property of the company via invention disclosures and patent applications
• Transfer concepts and methods to product development
• Provide direction to engineering technicians
• Maintain and increase technical, medical and biomedical development knowledge related to the company’s goals
• Maintain accurate and timely reports and records
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization to achieve company goals
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
