Overview

MED Institute is currently accepting applications for a Field Service Engineer. This position is responsible for various aspects of servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting equipment in interventional magnetic resonance imaging (iMRI) suites.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement all phases of service and maintenance activities related to iMRI suites for MED and its clients. 
  • Interact and communicate well with team members and clients.
  • Interface with vendors.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, while setting clear expectations, meeting commitments, and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Work independently and solve problems, utilizing all available tools and resources.
  • Maintain well-controlled documentation, including written protocols and reports, data forms, and laboratory notebooks.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) or similar technical discipline required with a minimum of 2 years of experience working in a related field.
  • Hard-working, enthusiastic, detail-oriented person with strong written and verbal communication skills, record-keeping and interpersonal skills.
  • Will be working in a team setting and must be willing to be trained.  
  • Strong hands-on skills and electrical and mechanical abilities.
  • Previous MRI experience/knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to travel 75% or more.
  • Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. MED Institute does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B or TN) for this employment position.
