The Finance Associate, at MED Institute, will be responsible for completion of financial tasks, following Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP) rules and standard company procedures.
Responsibilities
Prepare invoices for clients;
Monitor receivables for timely customer payments and perform collections activities, as needed;
Receive and prepare deposits from all sources;
Oversee A/P process to ensure timely vendor payments and appropriate approvals, including providing appropriate documentation to corporate A/P;
Enter new vendors into corporate systems;
Review and release purchase orders within corporate system;
Perform purchasing and credit card training and questions;
Prepare financial statements and productivity figures;
Perform project financial analysis, upon request;
Work with corporate to manage inter-company reconciliations and eliminations;
Work with corporate to ensure asset listing is current, with new additions and disposals;
Apply understanding of MED Institute Quality and Business Systems; and
Other responsibilities as requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred, Associate degree required;
1-3 years of accounting experience;
Knowledge of and experience with computerized accounting and reporting systems;
Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Applications;
Sufficient experience and/or education to understand corporate, state and federal accounting requirements;
Attention to detail;
Ability to present a professional and personable demeanor in interactions;
Conscientious, influential person with an outstanding work ethic and strong personal discipline;
Proven ability to communicate and work constructively with colleagues in a team environment; and
Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
