design, processing, and analytical methods to various functions within the organization as well as to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Problem Solving – This open-ended category emphasizes the diversity of concerns that arise without an established understanding. Developing a sound technical understanding of the issue, communicating effectively
across internal and external functions, and ultimately working collaboratively to resolve the concern is the core of this responsibility.
  • Material Testing and Support – Steer material inspection strategy for NPI, create, maintain, and optimize material inspection processes, and develop material evaluation plans to support various functions / projects. This may include projects such as analysis of competitor products,
internal products, and supplied raw materials and components, as well as nonconforming product and complaint investigations.
  • Quality System Maintenance – Responsible for materials related documentation such as inspection work instructions. Responsible for internal process changes to ensure compliance with QS and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication – Responsible for both verbal and written communication to document specifications development, test method work instructions, and nonconforming product and complaint investigations. Project investigations require clearly and concisely written technical reports.
  • Methods Development – Confirm established tests identify meaningful characteristics. Investigate and develop methods to improve the accuracy and relevance of tests. This frequently includes investigations that include other disciplines.
  • Regulatory Support – Support both customer and internal regulatory functions with material information, including researching material information to address requests about materials and components. Regulatory agencies will include the FDA.
