Overview

The HR Global Technologies Program Architect is an integral part of a global collaborative and consultative program to drive value of HR technologies within Cook. This role is within IT and has technology ownership for the strategy, design, configuration, user experience, and highest-level support for several employee lifecycle applications such as Core Human Capital Management (HCM), Total Rewards, Absence Management, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Payroll.

Responsibilities

• Partner and work with IT development teams to address upstream /downstream systems integration points, interfaces, data, and vendor issues
• Perform in depth technical analysis, research, proof of concepts, and evaluations as required
• Work closely with the stakeholders to demonstrate solutions, answer questions regarding software capabilities and requirements, and work to resolve issues that arise during the development cycle
• Conduct code reviews, data alignment reviews, information security reviews in line with global data privacy and information security policies at Cook; provide solutions/improvements as necessary
• Develop and own functional, technical design specifications and data flows
• Lead development of integrated HR solutions to ensure programs are scalable, maintainable and meet architectural standards
• Collaborate with the HR Information Systems team, Finance and Security teams, Business Intelligence teams as well as IT, Risk, Facilities, and others stakeholders to design solution
• Act as advisor for global HR technology related issues and provide consultation regarding system capabilities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness
• Design the data flow across the systems and work with IT to standardize APIs and data mappings
• Conduct research on existing systems and devise solutions that work within those systems

Oversees the technology solution & participates in roadmap planning aligned with program goals.

Responsible for leading the direction on data solutions and execution

Address technical issues and challenges, providing solutions to keep the project on track.

Coordinates with system integrators and other architects (solution & technical) to ensure platform requirements are met

 

Qualifications

• B.S / M.S. in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Management Information Systems or related discipline
• 5 years of experience in the development and implementation of HR software systems such as Workday/SAP/Dayforce/Oracle/UKG
• 3 years of experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, or Enterprise Architect
• Knowledge or Experience with other employee lifecycle applications for Compensation, Absence, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Payroll
• 3-5 years of experience working with integration technologies such as Mulesoft, SnapLogic or Boomi and concepts such as XML, XSLT, SOAP, API, SFTP etc
• Strong understanding and experience with relational databases and SQL
• Experience with SDLC, Agile Methodologies, and CI/CD including use of Jenkins, Docker, and GitHub
• Strong understanding of business processes, system to system integrations, information/platform security
• Ability to manage competing demands and thrive in a dynamic environment
• Experience in leading dev teams, interacting with management
• Energetic and self-motivated professional with excellent interpersonal, planning, communication, documentation, and organizational skills

• Demonstrated ability to manage conflict, communication & resources across multiple projects and stakeholders

 

Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environment conditions
• Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA

• Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences
• International and domestic travel as required
