Overview

This position is a 12-week paid internship located in Bloomington, Spencer, or Ellettsville Indiana. It is offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (exact dates depend on school calendars.) This position includes 401(k) options, access to a fitness center, onsite cafeteria option, an assigned mentor, one-time housing stipend, capstone presentation, intern events, and more. All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Industry.

 

Responsibilities

Responsibilities/projects may include:

 

  • Integration into the Medical Education team that is responsible for planning and execution of training events where Healthcare Professionals learn about the safe and effective use of our products, disease states, and treatment options.

  • Build an interactive Sharepoint site to support how field-based employees support healthcare professionals attending a medical education event.
  • Develop a communication plan for launch of this asset
  • Interview and research attendees and field-based employees to discover current state best practices
  • Attend a Medical Education Vista event in person
  • Learn and develop project management, research, communication, organizational, and time management skills
  • Schedule and lead meetings with identified stakeholders and project teams.
  • Define data and metrics necessary for the identified project.
  • Perform research when required.
  • Create and present a complete project submission.

 

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (excel, powerpoint, word)
  • Organizational and problem solving skills
  • Ability to travel domestically
  • Ability to be at desk and attend virtual meetings for extended periods of time
  • Time management skill
  • Self-motivated and detail oriented person
  • Demonstrates excellent written and oral communications and team skills
  • Must feel comfortable asking questions, challenging the status quo, and take initiative to advance projects
  • All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative and an ability to work well with others
  • Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school. Candidates who graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
  • All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration
  • Multiple disciplines will be considered (e.g., Marketing, Life Sciences, General Business, and Management)
  • Prior research experience and/or a desire to pursue a career in project management is preferred.
