Primary Function:
Develop, communicate, and lead the global vision and strategy for health economics and reimbursement in alignment with the overall division and corporate vision and strategy.
Recommends and operationalizes strategies for health economics and reimbursement that have a direct impact on the achievement of the divisions’ strategies and goals.
Lead, coach, develop and evaluate the global health economics and reimbursement teams, and ensure all managers team members are acting in support of company values and goals.
Work closely with and influence leaders and other stakeholders within the Divisions, company Functions, and Operational Units to develop and implement health economics and reimbursement strategies and initiatives that align with and support division, specialty and company business objectives.
Establish and implement short to mid-term strategies that support individual, team, and business development.
Ensure Sales, Marketing, and Product Management teams understand reimbursement activities and health systems globally.
Responsible for health economics and reimbursement budget.
Provide direction and guidance to the regional (US, EMEA, and APAC) health economics and reimbursement leaders.
Maintain knowledge of market access mechanisms in major markets.
Develop and maintain relationships with relevant external stakeholders.
Identify and develop current and future leadership teams.
Collaborate with HR to proactively create and implement effective and inclusive succession planning.
Collaborate with Human Resources in the process of hiring, developing, and retaining a high performing, diverse workforce.
Establish and maintain strong team communication through regular interactions and meetings. and ensure the team is aware of division and company vision, strategy and overall company status and news.
Ensure roles and responsibilities, performance expectations, and training requirements are developed and clearly documented and communicated to each employee. Cultivate a safe, secure, and supportive environment where employees can thrive, and morale is maintained.

Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback, both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while recognizing employees for their contributions.
Responsible for performance and wage reviews for team members.
Meet deadlines and ensure employees complete administrative tasks such as expenses, training, reporting, policy acknowledgements, submission of performance reviews, etc. in a timely manner.

Within scope of responsibility, ensure all quality, regulatory, compliance and product specific requirements are met.
Understand and be accountable for conducting Cook business with integrity and in compliance with applicable standards including Cook policies.
Required Experience:
College degree in related field and/or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience, including but not limited to, reimbursement, market access, leadership, sales, marketing or product management.
Advanced degree (Masters or MBA or equivalent), while not required, may reduce the years of experience requirement.
Demonstrates advanced management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across multiple teams, and manage dynamics such as conflict, communication and resources.
Prior people management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA
10 or more years health economics and/or reimbursement experience or equivalent in the medical device industry.
Prior experience leading organizational change.
Demonstrate positive and constructive behaviors that drive team cooperation in achieving market objectives.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment:
Ability to travel domestic, international, and weekends as needed up to 75%.
Work under general office environmental conditions.
