Injection Molding Technician

The primary purpose of this position is to set up, monitor and maintain production machinery, which includes but is not limited to a CNS Swiss Turret Lathe, centerless grinder and other miscellaneous machines.

• Set up, maintain, and monitor various production machinery, which includes, but is not limited to the following:
• Set up equipment within manufacturing tolerance.
• Develop processes to manufacture new parts on CNC machines.
• Assist/Train production personnel on operation of new and existing machines.
• Deburr and clean parts as necessary.
• Set up and manufacture parts on automatic CNC machine to produce a variety of parts for production according to detailed specifications/drawings.
• Review written procedures for operation of new equipment.
• Complete any necessary documentation.
• Deliver specific product to designated area.
• Perform daily and weekly clean up duties per housekeeping procedure.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

• Minimum 2 year mechanical/technical degree with special courses in setting up and operating CNC machinery preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in a machine set up position.
• Ability to read/write/understand and product documentation and specification drawings written in English.
• Basic machine skills.
• Ability to use small measuring devices that use decimals and fractions.
• Basic computer entry/retrieval skills including CNC programming.
• Good organizational skills.
• Detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Good manual dexterity 
• Majority of the day is spent in a machine shop environment 

• Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals

• Ability to lift items weighing between 5-50 pounds
