The Facilities Manager at Cook Incorporated is primarily responsible to plan and direct all areas of Facility activities in a medical device manufacturing facility and to lead interdisciplinary teams in defining direction to meet the needs of the facility. Prioritize and provide coordination with production, utility, operations, and infrastructure systems as necessary to provide for safe operation, regulatory compliance and equipment availability related to equipment and systems plant wide.
• Assure the optimal functioning of building systems including mechanical, fire/life safety, etc.
• Coordinate and schedule routine maintenance and repair of the facility using maintenance, calibration, custodial staff
• Coordinate and schedule vendors/contractors for routine maintenance and repair of the facility, utilities and process equipment as needed
• Manage and train maintenance, custodial and support employees in the maintenance of buildings and grounds
• Ensure workplace safety and security within CFR, IDEM, EPA, OSHA, ISO standards across all areas, and assures compliance with other related codes/regulations
• Ensure that the facility consistently represents the company through the most efficient use of resources
• Conduct performance reviews of direct reports
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards Mentor and support development of team
• Make recommendations for staff and equipment and have significant input into personnel matters
• Review and approve documentation, expense reports and vendor invoices, etc.
• Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences
• Must maintain all training requirements for the position, while seeking out opportunities for continuous development and growth
• Adhere to the Quality Management System and its processes to meet FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, and other applicable regulatory requirements
• Minimum of Associates, BS degree in facilities management or Sciences preferred or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background
• Demonstrated informal leadership
• Minimum of 7 years experience in facility leadership, or management is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of appropriate CFR, cGMP, ISO, USP, EPA and OSHA standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software (Word, Outlook, etc.), (EAMS) Enterprise Asset Management Software, Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS), etc.
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Blood Borne Pathogen Training required
• First Aid Training preferred

• Occasionally lifts and/or moves more than 50 pounds
