The Maintenance Technician Assistant at K-Tube Technologies assists in the day to day functions of the Maintenance department. Duties include, but are not limited to, assisting the Maintenance Technicians in the repair and preventive maintenance of all machinery and equipment, maintaining a parts inventory, and performing some facility repairs and janitorial functions.
This temp-to-hire position will work Fri-Sun, 10:00am-10pm (12 hr schedule and is considered Full-time). Training will be Mon-Fri - 7:00am -3:30pm until certified. Once certified, will move to weekend schedule.
Estimated pay range: $19.64/hour - 23.11/hour
• Actively participates in improving facility safety
• Minimizes equipment downtime to facilitate maximum manufacturing productivity
• Documents all Preventative Maintenance
• Assists in equipment Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures
• Maintains spare parts inventory
• Insures that plant floors, wall, and doors are cleaned and well maintained
• Paints as necessary
• Changes machine oil, filters, and other requirements on a scheduled basis
• Performs other duties as required by Maintenance Supervisor
• Must be willing to work mandatory overtime on Saturdays and or on any other days scheduled per business needs
• Associates Diploma, Trade School or equivalent applicable experience
• 2 years of experience working with machinery and equipment
• Must have good communication skills, both written and spoken
• Knowledge of safety policies, simple mechanical functions, and a desire to help improve plant functionality and appearance
Physical Requirements:
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Moderate to heavy physical effort required
• Regularly required to sit or stand, reach and move about the facility
• Work performed in both a manufacturing and office environment
• Exposure to metals, lubricants, solvents, electrolytes and other hazardous materials
• Required to wear K-Tube shirt
• Safety glasses and safety shoes are required
• Other personal safety equipment required as listed in SDS depending on task may include safety goggles, ear protection, full-face shield, apron, arm guards, rubber boots and gloves
