This position will provide leadership and implement the goals of Cook Medical’s Social Impact & Sustainability (SI&S) program. SI&S promotes sustainability in all areas of our business and in the communities where we live and operate. The SI&S program includes social and community impact through partnerships; social standards compliance; and environmental, recyclable and renewable energy initiatives. This position may be performed in a hybrid or remote capacity.
- Monitor the environmental, social and governance legal and regulatory landscape.
-Develop policies and procedures meeting corporate goals and objectives relative to SI&S.
-Lead the SI&S Core Portfolio Team.
-Identify and establish KPIs and metrics to support SI&S goals.
- Maintain external relationships related to the promotion of SI&S goals.
- Partner with the various Units, Divisions and Functional Groups within CMH to promote strategy, alignment and integration of SI&S.
- Identify and develop SI&S tools and educational opportunities.
- Support the SI&S communication plan to promote SI&S internally and externally and coordinate and annual report.
-Provide leadership in the responses to SI&S inquiries from customers and suppliers.
-Provide leadership in ISO 14001/CO2 footprint projects.
-Provide leadership and support to community impact and social enterprise initiatives.
-Develop and manage an SI&S leads network across Cook.
-Must adhere to and model Cook Core Values.
-Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
-Must have effective communication skills.
-Must work well in collaborative, cross-functional, team, and independent work environments.
-Familiarity with PESTEL framework and voluntary green standards such as LEED, ISO 14001.
-Must be familiar with SI&S best practices.
-Exhibited proficiency in leading multi-disciplinary teams with complex goals and initiatives
-Must strictly adhere to safety requirements and policies.
-Must maintain company quality and quantity standards.
-Maintain regular and punctual attendance and work reliably in a remote environment.
- Bachelor Degree
- Min of 5 yr. experience working with legal, or social impact programs
- Understand the principles of environmental-sustainability and social impact management
- Detailed knowledge of environmental and social standards and regulations and laws
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, and Excel
- Experience in cross-functional integration of environmental, social and governance
