Overview

The Corporate Paralegal assists the legal function with a variety of tasks to operationalize legal process and policies, research, draft and review documents with attorney supervision as appropriate.

Responsibilities

- Assist the Senior Corporate Paralegal in the operationalize of the legal function through the creation and maintenance of documented processes, policies, and systems
- Collaborate with members of the legal team on projects and initiatives
- Assist the Senior Corporate Paralegal and attorneys in researching and analyzing laws for applicable business needs
- Maintain legal files and databases, schedule meetings, and coordinate correspondences
- Assist IP team in coordinating materials, data reporting, and maintaining records.

- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization with minimal supervision

- Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Paralegal studies, or bachelors degree and paralegal certificate from accredited institution, or equivalent combination of formal training and experience
- Minimum 3 years of previous in-house or corporate law firm experience
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task projects
- Experience within the life science industry preferred

- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

Physical Requirements:

- Works under general office environment conditions
- Sitting for extended periods, utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
- Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA

- Requires occasional early morning or late evening teleconferences
- International and domestic travel as required
