Overview

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the people, processes and operations of all quality control departments. The Quality Control Operations Manager manages the departments in accordance with policies and procedures to implement and carry-out the vision of Global Functions and provides direction/guidance to ensure that expectations and goals are clear and understood.

Responsibilities

• Interact regularly with Engineering and QE to identify and address areas in need of improvement
• Interact regularly with SBU and Operations Liaisons to support global business direction
• Ensure adequate resources are available to meet delivery standards for both internal and external products
• Ensure compliance of, and adherence to, internal procedures such as instructions, non-conformance handling, training, gowning and personnel policies
• Ensure compliance of, and adherence to, external standards such as
• Maintain and evaluate KPI’s for productivity and evaluations
• Recognize, develop and utilize natural leaders
• Drive quality and efficiency improvements
• Ensure departments are effective (independent of leadership oversight)

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Management or a related field; or experience of such kind and amount as to provide a comparable background required
• Experience/understanding of supply-chain/FLOW principles
• Knowledge of/or training in ISO, GMP and CFR standards

• Computer proficiency, experience with Microsoft products (Word, Outlook, Excel)

 

Physical Requirements:

• General office setting
• Exposure to moderate noise and light levels within manufacturing facility
• Requires close visual acuity when working with computers, etc.
• Maintain a physical presence in the areas of responsibility

• Proper attire/clothing and personal protective equipment/clothing as required within Controlled Production Areas
