2nd Shift 3:00 PM-1:30 AM Monday- Friday
The assembler is responsible for following procedures for product assembly/fabrication, cleaning, packaging, labeling, equipment operation and safety requirements as documented in the company's quality system.
- Read, understand and follow specifications for product being manufactured.
- Fabricate raw materials into specified products using various mechanical and/or manual techniques.
- Perform various inspections and/or testing as required.
- Accurate completion of necessary documentation.
- Follow all quality system documents.
- Report to work punctually and as scheduled.
- Perform fine manipulative processes, using a microscope/micro forge, video screen, and/or other equipment for the majority of the day, seated and/or standing at a workstation.
- Perform work in a controlled environment with special gowning/clothing and hygiene requirements.
- Perform various computer functions.
- Perform routine maintenance on certain machinery used in production.
- Complete quality work at accepted department/production determined rates.
- Provide training of production personnel.
- Assist in introducing new or improved products into production.
- Maintain a clean and orderly workplace.
- Treat all visitors and fellow employees in a courteous manner.
- Provide input to supervisor/manager to improve department operation and efficiency.
- Identify and report possible corrective actions and preventative actions.
- Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization to achieve company goals.
- Works independently and as a team member, referring questions and problems to the department supervisor and/or manager.
- Confidential access to new and existing product designs and plans.
- Responsible for the manufacture and/or packaging of quality products in a timely manner.
- Responsible for compliance to company's Quality Policy Manual.
- Responsible for compliance to company's safety policies.
- Must have a high school diploma or GED.
- Must pass a post-offer physical exam and drug screening.
- Ability to read, write and understand product documentation and specification drawings.
- Have the written skills to accurately complete paperwork.
- Ability to use measuring devices and gauges.
- Perform basic math skills and applications including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division including the ability to understand decimals.
- Basic computer entry/retrieval skills.
- Good judgment and organizational skills.
- Must have well-developed eye-hand coordination.
Physical Requirements:
- Good manual dexterity.
- Ability to occasionally lift a maximum of 40 pounds.
- Majority of day spent in Controlled Environment with special gowning/ clothing and hygiene requirements.
- Good visual acuity.
- Required use of safety glasses.
- Limited exposure to hazardous chemicals used in manufacturing of products.
