The Senior Accountant will have overall responsibility for Fixed Assets globally. The successful candidate will have a strong business acumen and continuous improvement skills working on minimizing non value added tasks. He/she will be partnering with functions involved in the end-to-end process to ensure effectiveness and efficiency.

• Overall responsibility for accounting of Fixed Assets and Construction in Progress (CIP) across Cook group globally.
• Monitor CIP. Ensure assets are coded correctly and monitor open projects.
• Ensure accurate and timely capitalization, depreciation, disposals, transfers and adjustments of assets in accordance with US GAAP, Local GAAP and Cook policies.
• Partner with FP&A team, Manufacturing, Procurement, Accounts Payable, Corporate Risk & Insurance and other functions to ensure smooth and efficient end-to-end process.
• Support new ERP implementation (Oracle) within the Fixed Assets, CIP and Projects areas.
• Act as main point of contact for global fixed assets queries.

• Improve metrics and reporting (monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc).
• Identify, recommend, and lead projects within Fixed Assets.
• Create and update policies, procedures and work instructions (e.g., creation of assets, assets in use, asset retirements, auditing, capitalisation limits and depreciation rules).
• Review entries to ensure transactions have been recorded consistently and accurately; solve potential issues at root cause.
• Exercise strong problem solving skills during day-to-day activities.
• Work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
• Work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.


Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 5+ years of PQE experience in a senior role within Fixed Assets
• Proven track record of continuous improvement
• Work independently and effectively manage multiple projects with competing deadlines

• Strong business acumen
• Strong communication, interpersonal, influencing and cross-functional teamwork skills
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Be proactive and self motivated


Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of PQE experience in a senior role within Fixed Assets in a large corporation
