This position is a 12-week paid internship located in Bloomington, Spencer, or Ellettsville Indiana. It is offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (exact dates depend on school calendars.) This position includes 401(k) options, an assigned mentor, capstone presentation, and intern events. If working onsite, you will also have access to a fitness center, an onsite cafeteria option, and a one-time housing stipend. All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.



The Editorial Content intern’s main focus will be storytelling through the creation of videos. They will be responsible for creating video content that illustrates the Cook culture. This content will potentially be used on both internal and external channels. The intern will report to the Editorial Content team, which specializes in storytelling, but will receive technical instruction from the video team.



The intern will have the opportunity to gain experience in seeking out and developing story ideas, interviewing, and the video creation process. The intern will be encouraged to provide insights and suggestions for improving and developing new approaches. Over the course of the summer, they will have the chance to learn and develop new skills specific to the department, as well build on other basics such as networking, interoffice and departmental communications, among other workplace related skillsets.


Job Functions:

The Editorial Content intern will be responsible for telling the story of Cook’s culture and the company’s employees through video. They will have the opportunity to develop their skills by working with others to develop story ideas and conducting interviews, as well as recording and editing video content. They will have the opportunity to practice managing project deadlines, and they will get first-hand experience with our routing and approval processes.


Potential Projects:

Creating videos that illustrate the Cook culture.


• All candidates should have an interest in a career in the Life Sciences field, a willingness to take initiative, and an ability to work well with         others

• Candidates should be students entering their Junior or Senior year the following fall semester or entering graduate school; candidates who       graduate the spring semester before this internship are also eligible

• A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred

• All candidates must provide proof of enrollment (including pre-registration certification for the following fall) for consideration

• Multiple disciplines will be considered (e.g.Life Sciences, General Business, and Management) 

• Ability to meet and work with quick turnarounds and deadlines, recieve and provide feedback, work individually on specific tasks and               projects, and manage and contribute to multiple projects at once 

• Basic professional skills including organization, time management, and effective communication
