The Organizational Development (OD) Project Manager II at Cook MyoSite, Inc. supports advancement of the OD portfolio of projects by working closely and in collaboration with the OD Program Manager and Director, OD.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a project leader and core team member of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) program; lead and/or execute DEI strategies which support the overall program vision
• Acts as a key contributor in the creation and execution of ongoing key Organizational Development and/or Human Resources initiatives and projects
• Acts as a change consultant/coach to assist change leaders with the planning and implementation of major organizational and/or operational changes
• Lead OD project end-to-end change management efforts, starting with the recommendation of a change strategy and the plans needed to support the project through execution and delivery
• Ensure roll out of change management plans including activities to affect buy-in and adoption of new processes
• Consult and instruct designated OD team members on project management and/or change management techniques and best practices when necessary
• Effectively plans project work and assigns resources in collaboration with associated management.
• Schedules, organizes, and attends project meetings. Takes notes during meetings, prepares meeting minutes for distribution, and assigns and tracks action items.
• Supports the measurement of project performance using appropriate tools and techniques which could vary depending on project type (Departmental vs Strategic).
• Coordinate with the project team members and the Business Sponsor to effectively identify and resolve anticipated risks or project issues, escalating project issues to the Business Sponsor.
• Manages relationship with team members as well as external parties through collaboration and effective communication.
• Coordinates internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
• Collaborates with various levels of staff assigned as project resources to support the successful completion of tasks and assignments within assigned timelines.
• Monitors and reports team activity and progress against the project plan and schedule.
• Closes out project files for historical reference, clarity, and lessons learned.
• Maintains project budgeting from a timing and cost perspective.
• Manages overall project communication, including a formal communication plan.
• Helps to motivate the project team members to hit deadlines and acts as a liaison between the project team and Business Sponsor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in project management preferred, and/or bachelor’s degree in HR/OD/Talent Management with 4 years of direct, relevant experience in leading projects to provide a comparable background. Preferred.

• Minimum of 1-3 years' experience in Change Management
• Minimum of 3-6 years’ experience in Project Management
• Prior PM or functional work experience in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Talent Management, Talent Analytics, or related field work.

• Knowledge of ADKAR Change Management concepts preferred
• PMP Certification preferred
• Change Management training or certifications preferred
• Human Resources or Organizational Development related certification (PHR/SPHR, HRCI, ODCP, etc.)

• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software, and other general office equipment. (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent facilitation skills

• Able to prioritize and operate proactively
• Must demonstrate critical thinking and proven problem-solving skills
• Strong interpersonal skills resulting in exceptional rapport with people. Proven success in initiating, promoting, and maintaining strong interpersonal relations

 

Physical Requirements:

• Full Time Remote position

• Remote/Field Based Setting: General office or home office setting. May be required to work on site from time to time to attend office-based meetings, events and/or activities, based on business needs.

• Ability to conduct and hear ordinary conversation and telephone communication.
• Must be able to work extended hours beyond normal work schedule to include, but not limited to, evenings, weekends, extended work hours and/or extra work hours, sometimes on short notice as required.
• Ability to work under specific time constraints.
• Must be able to sit at desk, in meetings and/or work on a computer for long or extended periods of time.
• Visual and manual acuity for working with computers and equipment.
