Overview

The graphic designer at Cook Biotech looks to understand the needs of the company and the customer to produce visual concepts and solutions (for example - print pieces, presentations, messaging documents) to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and engage both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Create aesthetically pleasing designs that accompany written text and align with company brand, culture, values, and policies
  • Comply with the Cook style guide for appropriate colors, logo usage, and fonts
  • Manage time and large work volume to ensure high productivity while maintaining quality
  • Design content in collaboration with the project team to meet required timelines
  • Study project proposals and determine requirements
  • Seek and receive feedback from the team and customers to improve designs
  • Conceptualize visuals based on customer and stakeholder input
  • Document project stages in project management software

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor of Fine Arts in Graphic Design
  • OR applicable Degree or certificate from accredited technical college or university
  • Must stay abreast of current software tools to produce best output

Essential Skills

  • Proven graphic designing experience
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite including Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and PremierPro
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including creating and editing PowerPoint documents
  • Ability to work on web design with programming scripts including HTML and XML
  • Understand printing processes and specifications
  • Familiarity of production and rendering methods including drawing, offset printing, photography and interactive media.
  • Creative thinking skills
