The Technical Director is an established and productive individual contributor who will operate, manage and support Studio and Master Control operations. The Technical Director will direct (orally call) live and recorded video productions entailing multiple sources (cameras, graphics, microphones, animations, music, videos, web guests, etc). In addition, the Technical Director will simultaneously provide reliable and accurate switching/technical direction for live and recorded video productions both in studio and remote locations/events.


• Execute the output of live or recorded programs to match the look and feel of company brand
• Works collaboratively with Studio Producer(s) and Studio Production Engineer to set up and operate control room and studio in order to facilitate productions
• Works independently to operate Livestream switcher, Livestream Studio software, Resolume Arena, Vimeo, PowerPoint, WebEx, Clear-Com Agent IC and ShoFlo in real time
• Calmly and accurately direct (orally call) shows, while also operating robotic cameras, graphics, audio mixer, lighting and computers
• Works collaboratively with Studio Production Engineer to troubleshoot production equipment, including switchers and mixers to ensure proper functionality and quality specifications are met
• Work collaboratively with Studio Production Engineer to make adjustments or recommended enhancements to technology and equipment

• Develop recommendations and conclusions from information gathered, and present findings and recommendations to leadership team
• Contribute to and work collaboratively with team members across all phases of productions: pre-production planning, live and recorded programs, post production, thru delivery
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations


• Degree in Video/Film Production, Broadcast Television, Radio or related field, or experience in lieu of
• 5-7 years’ experience in the corporate or broadcast television production industry coupled with strong technical aptitude
• Experience with live and recorded studio production is required; samples that demonstrate technical work for major clients are preferred
• Familiarity with modern digital video production, equipment and processes
• Proficiency with various video hardware, switchers, and routers including MacOS, Livestream Studio, Resolum Arena, Vimeo, WebEx, Clear-Com, Windows Computers, and other similar technologies

• Ability to deliver precise instructions and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of IT and digital video, including compression, conversion, streaming, and codecs
• Comfortable working with staging, facility operations, and safety protocols
• Understand basic editing and post-production concepts
• Customer service orientation; Professional presence and superior client relationship skills
• Work effectively with executive leadership and production colleagues in a corporate environment
• Candidate must be a self-starter and a team player. Must have strong communications skills, be well organized and capable of handling multiple assignments


Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.

• Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to prepare,communicate, and execute calling of shows
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching
