The Nonclinical Testing Operator at Cook Research Incorporated is responsible for performing testing and data functions for nonclinical animal studies according to Good Laboratory Practice and other applicable regulations.


• Perform study tasks both in the office and in laboratories according to the study protocol and applicable regulations

• Support animal care and anesthesia, as applicable

• Adhere to safety precautions, general laboratory procedures, quality procedures, and scientific principles provided by training

• Organize and help analyze data generated during the study

• Participate in animal necropsies and tissue collection

• Use equipment that is adequately inspected, cleaned, maintained, and calibrated, as applicable

• Properly document study data

• Properly label, handle, and story test and control articles before, during, and after the study

• Provide clerical and administrative support for Study Directors in the preparation of study reports

• Seek future opportunities to provide increased contribution and responsibility

• Exemplify a positive, helpful, team-oriented attitude to prepare, execute, and complete laboratory studies

• Travel as needed

• Accept responsibilities as defined by 21 CFR 58


• RVT or BS preferred; technically qualified by education, training, or experience

• Knowledgeable about applicable quality procedures, GLP, and other applicable regulations

• Experience with data capture, recording, and data form completion

• Strong computer skills including word processing and spreadsheets

• Extreme attention to detail

• Ability to handle multiple and changing priorities along with fluctuations in work load

• Ability to work within strict time constraints

• Experience with laboratory and chemical safety and procedures

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Frequently required to stand for long periods

• Occasionally lifts or moves up to 50 pounds
