Strategic marketing works across the product lifecyle to drive company and product brand positioning and achieve business goals. The Product Marketing Manager develops marketing plans for a global specialty, a region, or a global product grouping that are aligned to drive the specialty’s business goals and the company’s brand strategy.
• Works with specialty marketing leader to ensure priorities, projects, and plans are aligned within the specialty
• Aligns annual marketing plans to drive business goals, brand strategy and brand perception improvement
• Develops go-to-market strategy with oversight and in close collaboration with product management, sales, and global functions
• Develops value proposition, claims, and messaging in alignment with brand guidelines
• Responsible for executing product launches
• Understands and uses customer personas and buyer journeys to develop marketing strategy and plans
• Reviews and approves campaign tactics and marketing materials, using a solid understanding of advertising and promotions compliance
• Engages with customers and SMEs to gain understanding of markets and customer needs and inform marketing strategy
• Establish objectives for campaigns and channels, including customer meetings and events
• Provide measurable input to marketing processes, systems, and operational plans
• Able to work independently to understand root causes for a variety of unique and difficult issues
• Manages large, complex marketing initiatives of strategic importance involving cross-functional teams
• Foster and maintain a workplace culture respectful and supportive of individual differences
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must maintain company values, policies and standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree required in marketing or business
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in strategic marketing
• Experience in developing effective marketing strategies and plans that drive business goals
• Global and domestic travel will be required
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with an operations mindset
• Experience working with sales and marketing teams
• Experience in brand management and product marketing
Physical Requirements
• Works under general office environmental conditions.
• This position is a remote position, but may be required to make periodic visits to the facility
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
• Occasional travel, domestic & international, may be required.
