The Business Systems Analyst at Cook Medical performs analysis of system requirements in collaboration with IT Solutions and the customer. This role is expected to assist in planning, requirements alignment, verification, and maintenance of multiple solutions within the Cook global organization. The Business Systems Analyst works closely with cross-functional teams as well as the customer to help determine solutions to complex business problems.


• Participate in project planning by facilitating the identification of project complexity, assumptions, constraints, risks and dependencies.
• Identify stakeholders and elicit needed information to produce requirements.
• Conduct analysis of stakeholder business processes and requirements.
• Conduct requirement walk-through and prioritizing meetings with stakeholders.
• Proficient at translating technical requirements to non-technical stakeholders.
• Demonstrated use of process mapping, diagramming, user scenarios, and writing testable requirements.
• Ensure all stakeholders have a shared understanding of the requirements.
• Conduct impact analysis on requirement changes and effectively communicate impact to all stakeholders.

• Deliver appropriate requirements documentation in accordance with software validation procedures and processes.
• Must have highly collaborative approach to requirements development and communication with both technical and non-technical teams.
• Works well managing workload for multiple projects in a fast-paced, diverse environment.


• Bachelor’s degree in IS or related field; or experience of such kind as to provide a comparable background.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Analysis, Technical Writing, Software Testing, Systems Development and/or Process Improvement.

• Knowledge of SDLC, web technologies, JBASE, mobile technologies, relational databases, Agile vs Waterfall software development methodologies is preferred.


Physical Requirements:

• Works under general office environmental conditions
• Sitting for extended periods
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, etc.

• Requires ability to work outside normal working hours and occasional weekends/holidays
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, subject to reasonable accommodation requirements under the ADA
• International and domestic travel as required
