This position is a 12-week paid internship located in Bloomington, Spencer, or Ellettsville Indiana. It is offered for a period extending from mid-May through mid-August (exact dates depend on school calendars.) This position includes 401(k) options, an assigned mentor, capstone presentation, and intern events. If working onsite, you will also have access to a fitness center, an onsite cafeteria option, and a one-time housing stipend. All internships provide hands-on experience with meaningful projects in the Medical Device Manufacturing Industry.
Objectives for Intern:
Become efficient in applied statistics and statistical theory within a manufacturing setting.
Learn a skillset that is highly desirable to employers who collect any type of data.
Improve odds of becoming employed after degree attainment.
Specific Job Functions/Duties:
Perform valid statistical techniques as it relates to the Code of Federal Regulations section 820.
Adhere to valid sampling and documenting techniques to maintain and/or improve quality.
Write statistical reviews that improve our understanding of specific manufacturing processes.
Enrolled in or received a college degree related to statistics, biostatistics, engineering or related.
Demonstrate adequate understanding of basic descriptive and inferential statistics.
