Overview

Digital marketing supports customer journeys through data-driven channel strategies, demand generation and automated marketing. The UI/UX Manager leads a team of UX/UI Specialists and Front End Developers who partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into high quality, user-centric interfaces that meet business objectives and drive positive brand perception.

 

 

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of experienced User Experience/User Interface Designers.
• Ensure development of web experiences that drive customer engagement.
• Lead team in the creation of assets for digital ads, landing pages, and social media posts.
• Guide team in the creation of wireframes, sitemaps and high fidelity mock-ups for marketing websites and landing pages.
• Direct team in conducting user experience research using metrics, interviews and surveys.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
• Promote usability best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations

• Serve as part of the global Digital leadership team
• Maintain a good understanding of company stakeholders and company goals and objectives in order to align projects and priorities
• Works with creative operations and leadership to provide input in to processes for project intake, prioritization, and resourcing
• Manage a lean and effective creative process in collaboration with creative team managers
• Works closely with creatives and leadership to ensure digital content is in alignment with the Cook brand, culture values, and polices and to resource functional work
• Participates in the hiring and training of roles necessary to support the Digital team
• Manage vendors, freelance and other required contractual support to meet timelines and objectives
• Provides ongoing coaching, mentoring, and feedback, both formally through the performance management process and informally through daily discussions and interactions, while recognizing employees for their contributions
• Creates an environment of learning and development for team members.
• Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills
• Must be able to actively listen and have effective verbal and written communication
• Ability to remain calm, and be flexible and receptive in fast paced situations
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Must have good organizational skills

 

 

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Communication Arts, or related field
• 7-10 years of relevant work experience
• Mastery of key design principles
• Mastery with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
• Mastery with HTML, CSS, and JS
• Proficiency with responsive and adaptive design.

• Proficiency of SEO principles
• Proficiency in Javascript and popular frameworks..
• Mastery with Atlassian products (Jira, Bitbucket and Confluence)
• Mastery with Git, Subversion or other version control software
• Proficiency with Sass, Node, Gulp and React are pluses.
• Highly collaborative and responsive to creative input

 

Physical Requirements

• Works under general office environmental conditions.
• Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
• Occasional travel, domestic & international, may be required.

• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports.
• Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching.
